Class Activities for Pentecost |
|
Possible follow up activities for the pupils to do: |
| Make some things to remind you of how the Holy Spirit came like a wind to the disciples - a kite, some streamers, a mobile or a pin wheel. |
| Go to a printable page of instructions for a pin-wheel. | ||
| This is an Adobe® Acrobat® (.pdf) document. If you don't have Acrobat Reader installed, click the icon. | ||
When you have finished maiking them, take them outside and watch them move in the wind. Can you paint a picture of them? Think about how you can make them look like they are moving. |
| In a group, make some windy music using percussion instruments. Take it in turn to dance to the music, showing that you are being blown by the wind. |
| Make paper plate masks to show the disciples before Pentecost - when they were frightened, sad and lonely - and after Pentecost - when they were brave, happy and strong. |
| Look at a group of candles burning in the classroom. Write a class poem about flames. Think about how the flames of Pentecost brought change to the disciples. |
