Parable of the Sower: Grow A Mini Field

Try putting this parable into action by growing a mini field!

You will need:

• A seed tray
• A trowel
• Some soil
• Some stones
• 2 sorts of fast-growing seeds e.g. grass, radish, mustard & cress
• Some water
• Lego people or similar

Use the seed tray for the field. Compact soil to make a footpath (with or without lego people!) Sprinkle some soil over the stones for the area of shallow soil. Plant some different seeds in one corner, before sowing the whole area with grass seed. Water the seed tray and watch how the growth develops in different areas.
