'We're Changing Our World' resource from Christian Aid

We're Changing Our World

'We're Changing Our World' is the latest resource from the Schools Team at Christian Aid.

Frederick and Eunice live in a drought-prone agricultural area, Peter lives near Nairobi in a slum littered with 'flying toilets' (bags of sewage thrown from windows). Gladys and Daniel are from different tribes that often end up fighting. Listen to their views on life and see how their worlds are changing in this new video teaching pack for 7-11 year olds.

This Flexible and easy to use, resource looks at the work of Christian Aid and its partners in Kenya . Hearing from the children themselves helps to challenge stereotypes and encourages pupils to connect directly with issues related to Poverty.

"An excellent resource to help children really get an understanding about the work of Christian Aid, and the realities of poverty. The video is very engaging, and clear." (Teacher, Glos.)

'We're Changing Our World' satisfies R.E.'s National Framework/RME syllabus requirements for pupils to:

  • Explore what motivates a Christian organisation to work in other parts of the world
