Alcohol and Drugs

The ex-con:
"The reason you take drink and drugs on the street is that you want to blot out the pain of life."

The prison chaplain:
"80% of crime is drug related."

"Why do (illegal drugs) have the classification they have? If you saw some of the guys that come here on their day of admission, you wouldn't ask that question."

"People drinking so much that they're sick, that they have to get their stomach pumped – that's not what God wants for people."
