Jesus in History - Archaeology: The Pontius Pilate Inscription |
| In 1961 archaeologists found a stone inscription at Caesarea in Palestine. It came from a temple that Pontius Pilate built there in honour of the Roman Emperor Tiberius, (called a Tiberieum). It says in Latin: | ||
