Site of his first open air meeting.

He found a great hollow in the ground which was like a natural amphitheatre and enabled hundreds to hear him.

Falmouth, Cornwall
A drunken crowd burst into the house where he was staying.

He was held at the mercy of a mob for over 6 hours. He escaped with only a torn waistcoat and some skin from one of his hands.
