Weddings

cutting the cake

My uncle talked about what marriage is, and how we must build our relationship on our relationship with God, and how this would result in a strong and lasting marriage. He talked about how we need to keep Jesus at the centre of our lives individually and together.

We sang many songs and the singing was led by our worship group. We had a great time, and people still say what a fun wedding it was.

After the marriage service, we went to the reception. We ate a meal together and listened to speeches. Some were embarrassing, and others were funny. We gave both our mothers a gift to say thank-you for all their hard work, We also gave a gift to the bridesmaids, and the best man. The party went on until late that night, and then we stayed in the hotel overnight.

We had a great day and still remember it well, even though it is now eleven years ago.
