Weddings

I married my fiancé 11 years ago. We are both Christians and believe that, as Christians, we shouldn't live together first, but that we should commit ourselves fully to each other only in marriage.So what is a wedding, why do we have weddings, and what happens?

Why?

The Bible talks a lot about weddings. Jesus attended a wedding and told a story about it. As Christians we are told to commit fully to one person, and to work at this relationship to make it good. Being with one person for life can be hard, and the relationship needs to be worked at. We believe our wedding service was a witness to others, to show how we felt about each other, and for them to share in our special day. We went to marriage classes before our wedding, to talk about married life and how to make it work well, as well as working at our Christian life together.
