Cleaning Up

A team of young Christians arrived in the Gibbonsdown area of Barry, South Wales, as part of 'Ground Force Gibby', organised by the Salvation Army.

Soon there were volunteers everywhere, cleaning up public areas, back gardens, decorating, and generally tidying up the estate. They also ran clubs for the children.
One team involved painting a bright mural on the dismal underpass that links the estate to a park.

Molly Conway of the local Residents' Board said, "This is one of the most exciting things to happen in Gibbonstown. It will provide tremendous service to the community - especially the elderly and single parents who have asked for help.
