A team of young Christians arrived in the Gibbonsdown area of Barry, South Wales, as part of 'Ground Force Gibby', organised by the Salvation Army. |

Soon there were volunteers everywhere, cleaning up public areas, back gardens, decorating, and generally tidying up the estate. They also ran clubs for the children. |
One team involved painting a bright mural on the dismal underpass that links the estate to a park. |

Molly Conway of the local Residents' Board said, "This is one of the most exciting things to happen in Gibbonstown. It will provide tremendous service to the community - especially the elderly and single parents who have asked for help. |
