Script of Robert's Video I'm Robert Chapman. I'm the Director of a company in the Black Country, in Cradely. I've found since becoming a Christian that I think probably the term that I would probably use is the win-win situation. I think some business and business people can have the thought that there's a win-lose situation and that I need to gain and another person needs to lose. In the Christian concept we all need to win, whether it be the customer, whether it be my company, my employees, my suppliers and all the range of people that this company comes into contact with. Believeing in God and in Jesus Christ, as my commitment sixteen years ago did, has enabled me to look and to try to follow what the teachings of the Bible are about. I mentioned about the win-win situation but it also applies that we must have a relationship and a win-win situation with God, and with Jesus. And with that, many challenges come on a day-to-day basis, which one has to relate back to, and it's a common saying and you get little bracelets that fit that say, 'What Would Jesus Do?' And it's the same situation as today, really, in the workplace. What would Jesus do? Belonging together and relating to each other is so important to me as a Christian. I mentioned about this relating to the customers, the suppliers and everything and that is important to me. But just as important is relating to other Christians, and the support other Christians can give and be a part of that bigger group, and not to be isolated in myself, thinking that I can achieve this, I can do that. I need that support of the body of God. |
