A Day in the Life ... of a Missionary |
||
| 5.00 p.m. |
I lead the Community Health Workers' Theology, TEE course. We use a book called 'Following Jesus', that leads us through the Bible, teaching what Christian faith is all about, looking at why Jesus died on the cross, and asking why we are special to God. It looks at what God wants us to do for him.

This is Tabitha, with the certificate she got when she finished the course. |

| 6.00 p.m. | Shower time. I have a black plastic bag full of water that has been outside in the sun warming up all day. The trick is to get wet, then turn it off whilst soaping myself, or I will run out of water half way through! |
| 7.00 p.m. |
Start cooking supper. No supermarkets here, so there are no ready meals, and this takes some time. Or I cheat, and ask someone to cook for me! |

| 8.00 p.m. | Listen to the World Service on the radio, to keep in touch with what's happening, or write a letter home. There's no electricity, so there's no T.V. to watch! I have kerosene lamps to see by. | |
| 9.00 p.m. |
Bed! |
