A Day in the Life ... of a Missionary

5.30 a.m.	Wake up, read my Bible and pray.
6.00 a.m.	Get up, struggle out of my mosquito net.
	Visit the pit loo, and collect water from the rainwater tank outside to wash. Eat breakfast, consisting of sugar bread and a boiled egg. My chicken, Lucky, was given to me by a grateful patient.
7.00 a.m.	Bible reading and prayer time in the local language of Hausa. Quite a lot I still don't understand, but I bring my English Bible to get the translation. I wish I had worked harder at my language lessons when I first arrived.
