Becoming A Monk

After I finished at University I went on holiday with my family to Ireland. There, I realised that God was calling me to enter a monastery. I wrote to the Abbot of Downside, who accepted me as a novice.

I enetered Downside Abbey in September 1967, and have been here more or less ever since.
