The Iona Community

Providing a place of welcome on Iona and on Mull

Perhaps what makes The Iona Community so well known, is the welcome it offers to thousands of people who come to stay on the island of Iona, or at Camas on the island of Mull. Every year, people come from all over the world to stay as guests, where they live the life of Community for a week. Some also come to work as a volunteer, living in Community for 6 or more weeks.

Others come for even longer, living in Community for up to 3 years, working on behalf of the Iona Community. Young people have a special place of welcome both at Camas on Mull, and at the Macleod Centre on Iona, purpose built centres which welcome young people, people with disabilities, and offer a special welcome to those who are excluded from society.
