The Iona Community

Music and Worship
Greenbelt Festival
Music and worship in the Community is often led by "the Wild Goose Resource Group." Long ago, the wild goose was said to be one of the symbols for the Holy Spirit and was used by the Celtic Church in Ireland and Scotland. The Iona Community has adapted it as their symbol.
Greenbelt Festival

The Wild Goose Resource Group is made up of paid and volunteer workers who offer help in leading worship, e.g. at large gatherings such as Greenbelt, as well as smaller monthly events, called "Holy City." They also write songs and prayers for use in schools, colleges, universities and churches. The Wild Goose Resource Group tries to show people ways they can organise worship themselves, rather than just show them new things.
