confession - owning up and saying sorry (to God).

sins - doing wrong things, disobeying God.

atonement (at-one-ment) - because of Jesus death on the cross as a sacrifice for sins, Christians believe that they are forgiven by (at one with) God.

salvation - being forgiven by God for doing wrong things; being saved from guilt and God's punishment.

consecrated - set a part (for God). The bread and wine are CONSECRATED by the Priest in the Communion Service.

sacrament - a ceremony that Christians believe brings God's blessing to those who share in it. Communion is one of the SACRAMENTS of the Christian church.
