Michelle got baptised - here's what she had to say about it.

Interviewer:
How did it start?

Michelle:
Someone in my class is a Christian. A lot of what he said made sense. I started going to his church to find out more, and decided to become a Christian.

Interviewer:
Why get wet?

Michelle:
Jesus was baptised in the River Jordan. Baptism shows that I have become a Christian and want to follow him.

Interviewer:
What did you wear?

Michelle:
Normal Stuff. People don't wear special clothes in our church. Sometimes people wear white when they are baptised as a symbol of purity.

Interviewer:
What did you do?

Michelle:
First I told everyone how I became a Christian. That was scary! Then I walked down the steps into the water. I was asked if I believe in Jesus, and want to follow him. When I said 'yes' I was lowered backwards into the water, and lifted up again.

Interviewer:
What did the Minister say?

Michelle:
He said, "I baptise you in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Interviewer:
What now?

Michelle:
It's good to go to church, so that I can learn more about God, and meet with other Christian young people.
