More on the URC

The United Reformed Church (URC) was formed in 1972 when most of the congregations of the Congregational Church in England and Wales and the Presbyterian Church of England joined together. A small number of Congregational churches continued to be independent. In 1981 the Re-formed Churches of Christ and in the year 2000 the Congregational Union of Scotland joined the URC.
