All Saints Chapel

This is a quiet place for prayer, and is often used for communion.

Behind the altar are the symbols of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, together with the 'Agnus Dei'. This is the symbol of Jesus as the Lamb of God.
The Agnus Dei

In the past, lambs were killed as a sacrifice in the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. Christians believe that, like the lambs, Jesus' death on the cross is also a sacrifice - one that brings God's forgiveness for the wrong things people have done. You can read about this in The Bible, John chapter 1 verse 29.

The crowns behind the altar are a symbol of all saints.
