The Stations of the Cross (The Way of the Cross)

'Jesus Falls For The First Time'

As in most Catholic churches today, fourteen Stations of the Cross surround the Cathedral nave. These are used to tell the story of the death of Jesus.

The word 'station' means a stopping place - a place for Christians to stop, think, and thank God for all that Jesus did when he died on the cross 'for our sins' (The Bible, 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 3).
