The Stations of the Cross (The Way of the Cross) |
![]() |
As in most Catholic churches today, fourteen Stations of the Cross surround the Cathedral nave. These are used to tell the story of the death of Jesus. The word 'station' means a stopping place - a place for Christians to stop, think, and thank God for all that Jesus did when he died on the cross 'for our sins' (The Bible, 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 3). |
