The South Transept and Poets' Corner

Geoffrey Chaucer (1343 - 1400) is buried here. He wrote 'The Canterbury Tales' about Pilgrims travelling to Canterbury Cathedral.

There are memorials to many other famous poets and musicians.

There is a very old painting of Doubting Thomas and Jesus. You can read the story in The Bible, John chapter 20 verses 24 - 29.
