The Lady Chapel is dedicated to Mary the Mother of Jesus. |

Above the altar are carved four angels that remind us of the death of Jesus, which is remembered at the altar in the communion service. |
The angels hold a cross, a spear (which pierced Jesus side), a crown of thorns and a cockrell (which crowed when Peter denied Jesus). You can read the story in The Bible, Matthew chapter 27 verses 27 - 54 and John chapter 19 verses 16 - 37. |

The font is used for baptisms at the Abbey. The Paschal candle is behind it. |

This beautiful ceiling was made in 1519. The Lady Chapel is used as the chapel for the Most Honourable Order of the Bath . The brightly coloured banners of the knights of the Bath hang overhead. |
