Henry VII (1457 - 1509)

Henry VII felt bad about the things he had done to become King. He built this chapel to Mary the Mother of Jesus as a place 'for celebration of masses and the distribution of alms, hoping that God would forgive him.

He is buried with his wife, Elizabeth of York, in a grand tomb behind the altar.

King Edward VI, King James I, Charles II, Queen Mary, Queen Anne and King George II are also buried in this chapel.
