Queen Elizabeth I (1533 - 1603)

Queen Elizabeth I (1533 - 1603) is buried here (left) beside her half sister Queen Mary (1516 - 1558, right). Their inscription says: 'Partners both in throne and grave, here rest we two sisters, Elizabeth and Mary, in the hope of one resurrection.'

Nearby are the graves of royal children. Two year old Princess Mary died in 1607.

Memorial to Princes Edward and Richard

The Princes Edward and Richard were secretly murdered in the Tower of London by their uncle, Richard III, in 1483.
