Wesley's Chapel has two communion tables. Both are needed to cater for the large number of people the come here to worship. At Wesley's Chapel, the people come forward and kneel at the communion rail to receive the broken bread, and drink wine from a chalice. |

You can see the communion rail in this picture. It was given to the chapel by Margaret Thatcher, the Prime Minister. Lady Thatcher was married in Wesley's Chapel, and her children were christened here. |
Communion is a holy meal. Christians share bread and wine and remember that this is what Jesus shared with his followers just before he was taken away and crucified. Christians believe the bread and wine are symbols for the body and blood of Jesus, who died so that the separation between people and God could be bridged. |
