The Confessional

confessional

The confessional is a very private place where someone can confess (own up)
to their sins (wrongdoings) to the Priest. The Priest will then pray for their
forgiveness by God - this is called 'absolution'. This is known as the
Sacrament of Penance or the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and it can take place anywhere.

A Priest will never speak of what he has heard in confession.
