In the South East Transept is a chapel dedicated to St. John, one of the twelve disciples. The Renaissance painting is of the baby Jesus. |
Next to the Chapel of St. John is the Chapel of St. Gregory, the Pope who sent St. Augustine to spread the Christian faith in Britain. |
The new windows in this area are very bright! This one is called 'Peace'. Jesus has his nail-pierced hands raised in peace over four children from four continents, showing that all are welcome to follow Christ. Underneath is a family, showing the importance of families to God. (Click to see an enlarged photo in a new window) |
