The South East Transept

Chapel of St. John
Chapel of St. Gregory

In the South East Transept is a chapel dedicated to St. John, one of the twelve disciples.

The Renaissance painting is of the baby Jesus.

Next to the Chapel of St. John is the Chapel of St. Gregory, the Pope who sent St. Augustine to spread the Christian faith in Britain.
'Peace' window

The new windows in this area are very bright! This one is called 'Peace'. Jesus has his nail-pierced hands raised in peace over four children from four continents, showing that all are welcome to follow Christ. Underneath is a family, showing the importance of families to God.
