The Pulpitum

The pulpitum is a screen that divides the Nave from the Quire. In it are carvings of six kings. Below it is the altar that is used for worship in the larger services that take place in the Nave.

When the pulpitum was built, it divided the monks' part of the church (the Quire) from the peope's part (the Nave).
