More on the Quakers

In a nutshell:

  • Happy to be called 'Quakers' or 'Friends'.
  • Church buildings are called 'Meeting Houses'.
  • Church services are unlike those in other churches.
  • Each Meeting is run by its members.
  • No baptism.
  • Silent grace at meals instead of communion.
  • Do not have special services for Christian festivals.
