I Go to a Pentecostal Church

congregation

If you want to discover more about the history of the Pentecostal Church go to the end of this section.

Our church has met together for over seventy years, although the building is much newer, about fifteen years old.

On a Sunday morning the children leave the service after fifteen minutes to go to their own 'Kids Church', and we are developing a crèche for toddlers and babies. The evening service is for everyone as a family.

Our church has a Pastor. He has been specially trained at Bible College, and although he does tend to lead the services, often other people do, or they share something they have learnt about God. The Pastor doesn't wear special clothes, and is very relaxed and friendly. We believe that everyone has something important they can do to help others in the church, and many people have special jobs, including the Elders who help the Pastor, and the Deacons who help organise more practical things. We have a band which leads the songs with a keyboard, drums and electric guitar.

Our church belongs to the international "Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance", and once a year all the Pastors and many of the church members meet together for several days, to worship God and to share the things they have learnt about God.
