Young people are very involved in my church, often taking part of the service, particularly using drama or music. We have a fantastic youth group, one of the biggest in the country. It's called the Methodist Association of Youth Clubs (M.A.Y.C.) We have great weekends where young people from all over the country get together for a weekend of games, music, sport and very active worship. A few years ago we even produced a document which suggested many changes in how the churches are run, to make them more relevant to young people. |
| The first time I went to the M.A.Y.C. London weekend there were over 10,000 young people there from all over the country. It was amazing to be with so many people who felt the same way about Jesus, and living the best life you can. We slept on the floor of a church hall, and had our breakfast made each morning by members of that church. They were mostly older members, and they told me about the wonderful times that they had in the M.A.Y.C. when they were young! |
