I Go To A Methodist Church |
|
| Methodists? Trouble makers more like! That's what the church authorities thought when we were first founded, anyway! That was over 200 years ago. Nowadays we are just as 'respectable' as any other group of churches. But we still remember the reasons why we were such a nuisance way back in the 18th century. It is because we are passionate in our belief in God, and we believe that anyone can find forgiveness by believing in Jesus Christ. | |

The Methodist Church is a very friendly church in which all members get involved. We do have Ministers, and they take the special services like communion, marriages, and, usually, baptisms. However, ordinary members of the church take many of the other services, and these include some of the really important services such as Harvest and Christmas. These people are known as 'Local Preachers' and 'Worship Leaders', and they have been a big part of the church since it was founded by John Wesley, way back in the 18th century. |
