I Go To An Independent Evangelical Church |
|
What are we like? |
|
| We are not called 'independent' because we do our own thing without being accountable to anybody. 'Non-denominational' might be a better description. Lots of churches like ours belong to larger groups, like New Frontiers International, or Vineyard, for example. | |

Another way to describe us might be 'New Testament' or 'Early Church', because we try to be like the very first Christian churches, that are described in the Bible.

LeadershipIn our church, there is a leadership team of four people, with one Elder overseeing the team. The Elder is recognised by church members as responsible for their personal care and progress in the Christian faith. It is quite common for churches to have teams of Elders, especially where there is a large church membership. The Elders are accountable to the group to which our church belongs. |
