In a Free Church of Scotland service there is no instrumental music and we sing only Psalms - in a metrical version. It is possible to buy a with this version printed at the back and there are books called which contain the words and music. Because no musical instrument is used, the singing is led by a who starts the Psalm and then everyone joins in. |
