I Go to an Asian Church |
| I go to church with my family every Sunday. We can wear our Indian clothes and meet with other Asian and English friends that we may not see during the week. Going to an Asian church means we worship God in both the English and the Indian traditions. | |
During the service, one person usually stands up at the front and leads the service. We sing in different languages, including English, as many of the church members are Asian, although people from other nationalities sometimes come along. |
We also have Indian instruments to help with the singing and worship. People pray in different languages too. Both men and women pray. In most Asian churches the men and women usually sit on separate sides. The young people sit on both sides, depending on their age, and whether both of their parents come to church. |
