Diversity amongst Anglicans

The Anglican Communion spreads throughout the world, but it as well as bringing together people of many different races it also brings together people of who worship quite differently, and whose beliefs are not exactly the same. In the one denomination you will find people who believe almost exactly the same as Roman Catholics and others who are more like the free evangelical Christians. They will share the same service books and accept the same bishops. They will frequently join for celebrations and will work together, but belonging to different local churches can be a completely different experience.

The two most distinctive groups are the Evangelicals and the Anglo catholics.

Evangelical Anglicans

Evangelical Anglicans tend to keep their worship simple. There will be less use of religious ritual and vestments than other Anglicans, and they will usually use more modern music in their worship. Preaching and Bible study are very important to them, and will be central to their services.
