About Praise Chapel |
Praise Chapel is an independent Pentecostal/ Charismatic church, which began in August 1993. Pentecostal / Charismatic means that we believe that the Holy Spirit helps us to pray and worship God. Often this is done through speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues can also involve communicating with God in a language unknown to ourselves. This enables us to say exactly what we need to say to God. In the book of Acts in the Bible, the Holy Spirit gave people the ability to speak in an unknown language, we believe that this still happens today. |

Praise Chapel has an evangelism program called Street Wise. This involves the use of dance and music to tell people about Jesus. Every summer we hold a barbeque and invite the surrounding neighbourhood. This is a great time, there is entertainment for the children, music, dancing and lots and lots of delicious food. We also support missionaries who work overseas. Sometimes they come back to England and tell us what is happening where they are. |
