The Leprosy Mission

Sushanti

Maswan
Thanks to a TLM surgeon, Sushanti will soon be able to use her previously clawed fingers.

Seven year old Maswan was shunned by his friends because of his facial patches and clawed hands. But his leprosy has now been cured, his skin patches will soon disappear and his clawed fingers can be straightened with surgery and physiotherapy, so he will soon be smiling again.
Matsie Pitso

Ambika Rajurar
When Matsie Pitso from Lesotho first went for treatment, his leprosy was taking its toll on his young body. He was going blind, and his face was so swollen and unsightly that his so-called friends teased him, and kept away. Yet Matsie was cured with a course of MDT - which cost just £15 to provide.

Because Ambika Rajurar was taken to our leprosy clinic at Purulia, West Bengal, she was cured, and thankfuly spared of any deformities.
