| That's a huge amount of money and most of it goes to help people in poor countries to have a better life. People like Chinnamani who lives in India. Chinnamani is a dalit. Many people in India don't like the dalits; they think dalits are unclean. This means dalits don't have the same chances to earn money or go to school. |

Chinnamani, 12, a dalit girl in India, goes to school thanks to a local organisation in India called Activists for Social Alternatives, or ASA for short. ASA, which is supported by Christian Aid, runs a college specially for dalit children. Chinnamani enjoys school; she would like to be a teacher when she is older. |

Herbert from Uganda can also go to school now without having to pay. Thanks to the 'Drop the Debt' campaign, the government can afford to spend money on schools and hospitals. |
