For some Christians, for example, the Baptists, the Bible is the only source of authority. Each Baptist Church is independent of outside authority and Baptists believe no-one has the right to tell a person what to believe. Baptists simply look to the Bible and only the Bible for guidance. It is not a book, but a collection of 66 books, separated into 2 main sections, the Old Testament and the New Testament. Some Christians include a third section called the Apocrypha. |
