Issues: Science and Christianity |
|
Conclusion |
Although the scientific and Christian accounts of the origin of the worlds are very different, that does not necessarily mean they must be in conflict. Many Christians are scientists. They believe that science and Christianity are trying to answer two very different questions. Many Christians believe that it is wrong to think of the stories of creation as scientific documents. Christians who are scientists and accept the usual scientific view of origins do, however, believe the truths taught in the Bible, that God created the world, out of nothing and for a reason. He has guided the progress of the world. Some Christians, however, believe that current scientific views of origins do conflict with the Bible. All Christians believe that they are God's stewards and should look after the world on God's behalf. |
