There are many people involved in Local and National Government who are Christians. Some non-Christians do not like the idea of people with different beliefs to their own making rules for the country. When a Christian leader like the Archbishop of Canterbury or the Pope makes a public statement about the way a country is being governed or the morality of a particular war often people say that Christians should stick to looking after 'their flock' and 'keep their noses out of' politics. Some Christians also believe that politics and religion should be kept separate. Most Christians, however believe that Christians should get involved in the governing of the country. |
