Adultery is having sexual intercourse with someone other than your husband or wife when you are married, or having sex with a person who is married to someone else. Christians believe that this is a sin, and not something Christians should do.
In the wedding ceremony, Christian couples promise to be faithful to one another "until death do us part". Adultery is also forbidden in the 10 Commandments in the old Testament of the Bible, in Exodus chapter 20 verse 14, which says, "Do not commit adultery." (NLT) |
