The Afterlife

Christians believe that there is a life beyond death. They believe that after death, humans carry on living in a new way. Christians believe that when we die, God will judge us. Those who believe in Jesus and have been forgiven will live on in the presence of God in heaven. Christians believe this happens because when Jesus rose from the dead (the resurrection) three days after his crucifixion (death on a cross), the power of death was broken and believers could receive eternal life.

Those who have rejected God will be cut off from God, according to Christians. This is called Hell.
