Noel's Story
Noel Allen M.B.E. is the President of the Exmoor Natural History Society, which he founded over twenty five years ago. It now has nearly five hundred members.
He gained an M.B.E. for his services to conservation on Exmoor, having written books, articles and news items about the area, especially about the red deer, birds and ecology. He investigates changes of use and advises on dangers, needs and action required to conserve the area. Now over 80, he continues to bring his Christian beliefs to bear to protect the environment. He is a member of a local church, a former local preacher and has been involved in several television programmes about Exmoor. |
