Christians in Action

Hope UK is a Christian drug education charity working for children and young people, with parents and youth and children's workers. They have a network of over 60 voluntary Educators who, alongside a small staff team, are able to provide training and education on alcohol and other drug education issues. Amethyst is a Christian based alcohol and other drug education charity working throughout Berkshire , especially with children and young people in schools. They have developed original learning experiences for Year 6 with the AMAZE Project and Year 8 Into the Unknown. They are also developing a puppet project for Year 3 and a programme based on self-esteem for Year 9. Amethyst can also supply a range of alternative alcohol-free drinks. Life for the World Trust offers hope, help and support for churches and families who are affected by drugs. They have a telephone helpline - 01494 462 008 and their website is www.lftw.org.

Yeldall Bridges is a large provider of residential places for the treatment and rehabilitation of those with drug or alcohol dependencies.
