Some liberal Protestants believe sex before marriage is acceptable if:

• The couple love each other
• The couple are in a long-term relationship
• They intend to marry

Family Life

Children should be brought up with a mother and father (unless one has died).
Major reason for marriage stated in service is to bring up children in a Christian environment. Children are a gift from God. Parents expected to care for their children. Children expected to care for their parents. Children expected to respect parents (fifth commandment).

Infant Baptism > Primary/Secondary Schools > Sunday school > family services > youth organisations > counsellors > pre-marital guidance

Divorce

Roman Catholics believe there can be no divorce as marriage is a covenant with God which should not be broken. Some Christians believe that if there's no chance the couple will come back together God will forgive sins and there can be divorce. Also if a partner has committed adultery, as Jesus allows this in the Bible.
