Christian Beliefs on The Roles of Men and Women

Some believe the Bible states women are inferior and should stay at home as wives and mothers. Others say the Bible says men and women are equal…

Bible bit: "There is neither ... male nor female for you are all one in Christ." (St. Paul in The Bible, Galatians chapter 3 verse 28)

Jesus treated women as equals, e.g. Mary and Martha, Mary Magdalene was the first to see him when he rose from the dead.

Catholic Church says men and women are equal in God's eyes. They don't allow women Priests as Jesus chose men to be the apostles.

Most Protestant churches do allow women Ministers as they believe Jesus chose men only because it was what you did in his culture and the time.

Some evangelical churches believe women should not speak in church and must submit to their husband because of what it says in the Bible.
