4. Evidence in Personal Experience

For the Christian, still more evidence comes from our own personal experience: we have a sense of knowing God and being in a relationship with Him. We hear Him speak to us through His Word, the Bible. We receive answers to our prayers - sometimes remarkable and unexpected answers. This kind of personal testimony can have a powerful role both in re-assuring ourselves and in sharing our faith with others.

5. Conclusion

We have looked briefly at various kinds of evidence for the truth of the Christian message. These make up a 'cumulative case'. It may be possible to argue away any one of them on its own, but it becomes more and more difficult to argue away all of them when they are taken together.
