This is a story that Jesus told.

Once there was a shepherd who had one hundred sheep.

He kept his sheep safe from wild animals.

One sheep wandered off on his own. The shepherd took his sheep home and counted them. One was missing!

The shepherd went looking for his lost sheep.

The sheep had fallen down. The shepherd found him.The shepherd was so happy he carried the sheep home.

Jesus said God takes care of people, just like the shepherd takes care of his sheep. We must keep close to God and do what he says.
